One of the best things about gaming in 2020 is that any game can become a breakout hit. We’ve seen Fall Guys become the standout story of the summer, and while it was flanked by juggernauts sequels like Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 at the PlayStation 5’s reveal event, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is arguably one of the most anticipated next-gen titles on the horizon.
In fact, so eagerly awaited is the Ember Labs adventure that it’s secured a Game Informer cover. The publication’s 14-page feature will explore how the team has transitioned from commercial animation to video games, and how it managed to not only secure next-gen development tools but also a slot during the console’s global unveiling. You can find out more about the issue through here.

Yes! I've been craving more info about this since June.
Why PS5 indie? It's also on PS4 and PC.
@RayNick
I'm guessing because it was announced at the PS5 reveal event?
@NorrinRadd Why not call it "PS5 reveal event's indie" instead? PS5 indie makes it sound like it's PS5 exclusive and it's anything but that. It's not even an exclusive.
@RayNick
Too many words. Short attention spans. Grab reader quickly. Redundant?
Before anybody gets hyped,do we even have gameplay?
@rachetmarvel Yes, there was gameplay shown in the PS5 reveal event
It looks brilliant, definitely would like to see some more footage.
@Tchunga I would hardly call that live gameplay,nor does it even tell me what the core gameplay would be like.
I'm hoping this is a launch title for the PS5. I want this to be the first game I play on it!
@rachetmarvel What do you mean? They showed in engine, real time, behind the back footage of the game being played. They showed platforming, exploration, some melee combat. I even saw a parry mechanic in the trailer watching it again just now. You can't tell me that's not gameplay
Definitely great exposure for a game that is right up there in excitement for me with Miles, R&C, and horizon. Hopefully others discover it as well.
Epic or PS5. One way or another, This is Day 1
Horizon: Pikmin Dawn looks like a lot of fun.
N.i.c.e cant wait for this game.word up son
Excited. Can’t wait to play it.
“...how the team has transitioned from commercial animation to video games, and how it managed to not only secure next-gen development tools but also a slot during the console’s global unveiling.”
This will be a very interesting reading, can’t wait.
@Bentleyma- i'm with you on wanting it to be there day1. but if demon souls is there too - that's my first game to play!
@eddie429 I'll definitely be getting Demon Souls too if that's a day one release, but it'll have to wait it's turn!
I really love the look of this game + that Cat game that was shown at the PS5 Event
@Bentleyma- launch day is going to be lot of fun!
yeah, this game looks awesome! good for the developers of the game to get the cover for GI. congrats : )
@RayNick
It's timed exclusive and that's what really matters, because of guess where people are going to play it first and guess what system they will play it on. The whole point is to get people on your platform and is a smart business tactic.
